October 12: The Fall Feasts

– Simchat Torah

The 8th day of the feast was to be a Sabbath.  There was to be a solemn assembly and of course, sacrifices.

Today the Jewish people have added another component to the feast called “Rejoicing of the Torah” שִׂמְחַת תּוֹרָה (simchat torah). To commemorate the completion of the daily reading of the Torah, there is a celebration in the local synagogue and the Rabbi dances with the Torah scroll offering it to the people to kiss.

But in God’s grace and according to His promises, one day the Torah became flesh!

John 1:1-3, 14

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

PRAY FOR THE PEACE OF JERUSALEM AND FOR ISRAEL TO KISS THE TORAH OF FLESH – YESHUA.
