June 6: Shavuot (Pentecost)

– The Kingdom Community

Despite God’s unique relationship with Israel, His goal was to create a single Kingdom community consisting of both Jews and Gentiles.  God required both Jews and Gentiles to enter into the Kingdom in the same way – by grace through faith in Yeshua.

The unique offering made on Shavuot is a prophetic picture of this community. Remember the priest waved two loaves on one platter which God called “firstfruits unto the Lord.”

The two loaves represent Jews and Gentiles that God puts together on one platter – thus the One New Man.

Exodus 12:49

One law shall be for the native-born and for the stranger who dwells among you.”

Acts 2:39

For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.”

God’s purpose for His Kingdom was and remains “to fill the earth with the knowledge of His glory” which will result in worship.

PRAY THAT ALL PEOPLE WILL BECOME CITIZENS OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD THROUGH FAITH IN YESHUA THE MESSIAH.

Nurtured by the same root, yet maintain their distinction.
