August 11: Tisha b’Av

-Cry for compassion and mercy

Lamentations5:1-3a

Look, and behold our reproach!

Our inheritance has been turned over to aliens,

And our houses to foreigners.

We have become orphans and waifs,

Our mothers are like widows.

Pool of Siloam is a rock-cut pool on the southern slope of the City of David, the original site of Jerusalem, located outside the walls of the Old City to the southeast. The pool was fed by the waters of the Gihon Spring, carried there by two aqueducts. It is mentioned in both the Old and New Testaments.
